Abstract

NHS Shetland, the health authority in the Scottish archipelago, has authorized doctors to prescribe interactions with nature as a supplement to traditional health care. The hope is the practice will demonstrate to the traditional medical community the value of such non-traditional and subtle treatments to the health of the human body and mind.1
