Open Access Policy

CANDJ is committed to the open and equitable dissemination of research in naturopathic medicine. In alignment with this mission, CANDJ supports a Diamond Open Access model that removes financial and access barriers for both authors and readers.

Effective June 1, 2025, all articles published in CANDJ are freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription fees, embargo periods, or paywalls.

Key Principles

  • Free and Immediate Access: All published articles are accessible to readers worldwide at no cost, supporting equity in access to scientific knowledge.
  • Global Knowledge Sharing: Readers are encouraged to download, read, share, and distribute content freely, in accordance with the article license.
  • No Author Fees: CANDJ does not charge authors any submission, article processing, or publication fees. We believe that financial barriers should not prevent the sharing of valuable research.
  • Licensing: Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, allowing for use, distribution, and reproduction in any non-commercial medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

CANDJ remains dedicated to fostering transparency, inclusion, and accessibility in scholarly communication, within the field of naturopathic medicine.
